International Programs
The ECIDA International Division has the services, products, professional contacts, and expertise to increase the potential and reduce risk for any Western New York company doing business overseas. We are the only IDA in New York State to offer international programs. We are a City-State Partner of the Export Import Bank, as well as a partner with the Small Business Administration, to offer their international products and services.
We periodically conduct trade missions to market sectors with promising export potential to assist WNY companies in entering foreign markets through direct contact and one-on-one meetings with prospective business partners or clients.
Export Trade Financing and Assistance
The ECIDA works with regional and national agencies to assist companies seeking export credit insurance and financing for export working capital, foreign direct investment, and purchasing imported goods.
Foreign Trade Zones
The International Division is the administrator for Erie County Foreign Trade Zone #23. Foreign Trade Zones benefit importers and exporters by allowing them to bring goods into the United States without paying duty while the product remains in the zone.
Worldwide Credit Reports
The ECIDA is a distributor of credit reports for through our Worldwide Credit Report Services. We offer comprehensive, high quality credit reports on domestic or international companies at a substantial discount over retail rates. These are available through Coface and Graydon, two well established suppliers of credit reports.
International Seminar Series
The ECIDA International Division Seminar Series features presentations by experts in the field of international trade and business. The series includes monthly Global Trade Seminars and an annual International Business Seminar featuring representatives from our resource partners.
