Invitation To Bid
The Erie County Industrial Development Agency invites sealed bids for the construction of approximately 2 miles of new railroad corridor, side track installations, grading, drainage, turnout installations, track retirements, bridge repairs, and ancillary work such as installation of cross ties, turnout timbers, ballast and surfacing and pavement crossings as noted in the Contract Documents, in accordance with the Contract Plans and Specifications.
Bid Documents will be available on August 18, 2011 at the ECIDA Offices, 143 Genesee Street, Buffalo, New York, 14203. Bids will be due and publically opened on September 12th at 10 AM. There is a $75 / set refundable document fee and construction is to be completed by August 31st, 2012.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at the site on August 29th at 9 AM in Lackawanna, NY at the former Bethlehem Steel Plant Facility's Ridge Road Gate, intersection of Route 5.
Contractors must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Minority and Women Owned Businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation.
ECIDA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process.
