The South Buffalo Brownfield Opportunity Area was awarded a Step 3 Implementation Strategy grant from the Department of State that will allow for more detailed planning and feasibility analysis to confirm the viability of potential redevelopment opportunities.

Buffalo Green Code Update

Over the past two years, the Mayor's Office of Strategic Planning, its consultant team and the community have been diligently working on the Buffalo Green Code.  Based upon this input and the thousands of comments received prior to these meetings, the City's consultants have been busy preparing a draft of the zoning code.  The City is currently reviewing the details with stakeholders and draft sections are available online at ftp://ftp.ci.buffalo.ny.us/Planning/GreenCode/GreenCodeWorkingDraftUDO/. 

Written comments can be submitted to John Fell, Senior Planner with the City of Buffalo at PLAN81@ch.ci.buffalo.ny.us.  A public draft is scheduled to be released in the next few months, which will incorporate comments received to date.  Your participation is welcome and encouraged.
